SRA Constitution

The SRA is run by an elected committee and is funded through membership fees and charging for events and training.

The constitution is the key statement that governs the affairs of the Association. A copy of our constitution can be downloaded here (.doc 85k).

As a legal entity the SRA is an unincorporated association. This means that it is neither subject to charity nor company law but is simply governed by its written constitution.

All the rules and procedures by which the Association manages its affairs must be consistent with the constitution.

The constitution can only be changed by resolution at the AGM.

The SRA is currently in the process of becoming a Company Limited by Guarantee. This will be formalised shortly, after which we will immediately apply for charitable status.
