RNID, the Royal National Institute for Deaf People, is collaborating
with RNIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People on
a project to help improve the social care services they provide.
Both charities support disabled people to ensure the same
rights, opportunities and quality of life as others. RNID
works for 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people. RNIB
works for 2 million blind and partially sighted people.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a system to provide
metrics and KPIs to measure outcomes and impacts and deliver
improvements in social care services provided to sensory-impaired
people.
You should have a 1st degree in social sciences or related
disciplines, and a keen interest in social care. Experience
of data analysis related to performance measurement, benchmarking
and KPIs is required. Experience of working in a not-for-profit
environment, and working and communicating with disabled
people would be advantageous. Ability to communicate in British
Sign Language BSL would be an advantage. If not, the successful
candidate must be prepared to learn at least to BSL level
1. Good knowledge information management skills with the
ability to set up appropriate IT systems are needed. You
should be innovative with good organisational skills, proactive,
self motivated, and able to work independently, as well as
in a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to
influence and introduce change are required, and excellent
communication skills, both verbal and in writing, are essential.
This is a fixed term 2 year Knowledge Transfer Partnership
(KTP) appointment in which the candidate will work full-time
at the organisation, but will be employed by London South
Bank University.

supervision, the opportunity to enrol for a fully sponsored
higher degree and the potential to develop a permanent position
with the organisation.

Human & Social Capital (HSC) team in Farringdon, London.
We specialise in public policy research and evaluation in relation
to welfare, employment and labour markets, health and wellbeing,
learning and skills, education and children, young people and
families.
Our successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a real
interest in the type of policy work we are engaged in. Evidence
of a first degree or proven aptitude is essential, demonstrated
through previous work experience. This will mean that you will
have a strong first degree in a relevant discipline, ideally
backed up by a second degree – although we will consider
applicants who are still studying.

excellent oral and written communication skills, the successful
candidate must have excellent numeracy skills - at least to
A Level standard.

background research, assisting in proposal preparation, arranging
fieldwork assignments, data analysis and, occasionally, accompanying
colleagues on site-visits.

in Dying is the leading campaign organisation for greater
patient choice at the end of life. Our ‘Charter
for Dignity at the End of Life’ sets out a manifesto
for change, including universal access to high quality end-of-life
care and the option of an assisted death, within safeguards,
for mentally competent, terminally ill adults in unbearable
suffering.
We are seeking an experienced Research and Policy Officer
to join our team, whose primary role will be managing Dignity
in Dying’s research function. The successful candidate
will be responsible for analysing existing and developing
new research, writing policy briefings, and responding to
external consultations. The Research and Policy Officer will
be proficient in both primary and secondary research, and
have the confidence to develop and maintain good working
relationships with professionals in the UK and internationally.
Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
are therefore essential. An academic background and professional
knowledge of the UK healthcare system is desirable.

role. The Director of Research, Evidence and Evaluation
will be responsible for a vibrant and growing department,
