Social researchers across the UK trust the quality of SRA’s training in applied research methods and techniques.  Our trainers are experts in their field with extensive experience in helping others learn. Our training courses are currently available in live online sessions via Zoom. 

Prices: One-day courses cost £220; SRA members pay £165. Two-day courses are double these amounts.   Find out more about Membership

Training for your staff

Many of the courses available publicly on our website can also be delivered online to your staff.  This is a cost-effective option, and material can be tailored to your needs.  Please email lindsay.adams [at] the-sra.org.uk

It’s important to choose the right level of course:

Foundation: suitable for beginners and those wanting to refresh their knowledge. Requires a basic understanding of what social research involves, from a degree or equivalent professional qualification, and/or from practical experience. Familiarity with the course topic is desirable.

Advanced: designed to extend knowledge and expertise and requires good basic understanding of the methods or topics relevant to the course, either from practical experience or from attending a related SRA or similar foundation-level course. Practical experience in the topic of the course is desirable.
